Grooming Services

Our experienced, professional dog groomer Edith has been trained for the most demanding cuts on every breed from Pekinese to Afghan. 

At Animal Clinic of Long Island City, we specialize in long-haired as well as large-breed dogs. We offer three-hour or less express service for any breed by appointment only. 

We offer walk-in grooming services for nail trims and anal gland expression while you wait--usually fifteen (15) minutes or less. 

Show grooming, hand-stripping, and demitting services are available upon request. We do all styles of trims and cuts to breed standards and to your individual desires.

Grooming Service Overall Policies

- No grooming service without following vaccines, Must have all vaccines including Rabies, DHPP, Bordetella for Dogs and Rabies, FVRCP for Cats

- When Dr. Gapas away, there will be no sedation, Please check Dr. Gapas’ schedule if planning for sedation.

Weekend Policies

- No Cats

- No Sedations

- No Big Dogs over 20lbs and/or height taller than 2Ft.

Cat Grooming Service

-No services on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays

- 9 am and one cat a day only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (Please make an appointment)

Dog Grooming Service

- All big dogs over 20 lbs and/or height taller than 2ft, appointment needs to be blocked off for 2 hours.

- Sedated dogs are only allowed at 9 am, and cannot be later than 10 am.
